Why we need wet scrubbers for industrial waste gas?

In industrial production, various types of waste gas will be produced, and corrosive waste gas also accounts for a large proportion, and these waste gases need to be purified before they can be discharged. There are many purification treatment equipment, among which the wet scrubber is the more commonly used waste gas treatment equipment.

Why we need wet scrubbers for industrial waste gas?

Advantages of scrubbers

The scrubber has the characteristics of high purification efficiency, simple operation and management, long service life, low energy consumption and wide application range.

The scrubber is suitable for most water-soluble gases

The scrubber can treat a variety of harmful waste gases, including hydrogen fluoride gas (HF), chromic acid mist, hydrogen cyanide gas (HCN), hydrogen chloride gas (HCl), ammonia gas (NH3), sulfuric acid mist (H2SO4), alkali vapor (NaOH) ), hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S) and other water-soluble gases.

The scrubber has a wide range of applications:

  • Printed circuit board factory: electroplating, pickling, etching;
  • Electroplating factory: electroplating, pickling, dipping, etching;
  • Pharmaceutical factory: grinding, adding, sieving, filling;
  • Chemical factory and food factory exhaust gas;
  • Boiler and incinerator exhaust gas;
  • Oil pollution waste gas from mechanical processing plants;
  • Dust-laden and combustion waste gas produced by industry;
  • Sewage station waste gas deodorization.

The principle of the scrubber

Collect the waste gas generated in the production workshop, make the waste gas fully contact with the water in the wet scrubber or the aqueous solution added with chemicals, and combine the pollutants with the chemicals. The waste gas passes through the wet scrubber packing area, and the spray tower packing makes the contact surface of the waste gas. More widely, it can provide gas phase and liquid phase acid-base neutralization, so as to achieve the effect of exhaust gas purification.

The above is the introduction of the wet scrubber. Exhaust gas treatment is generally designed according to the concentration of exhaust gas, the amount of production, the composition of exhaust gas, and how to collect it.
