The BIO Series Lab Adsorber (Activated Carbon Adsorption) is designed for research facilities, featuring “high-iodine carbon+HEPA” technology to remove 99% of solvents (acetone, DCM), acid gases (HCl) and toxic vapors (Hg, benzene). Complies with ANSI/AIHA Z9.5-2022 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1450 standards.

Working Princple

  1. Exhaust Collection

  • Static-dissipative PP ducting (face velocity 1.3-2.0ft/s)

  1. Pre-treatment

  • HEPA filtration (99.97% @0.3μm)

  • Acid gas neutralization (pH 6-8)

  1. Carbon Adsorption

  • Dual-stage design:

    • Front: Honeycomb carbon (iodine≥1000mg/g)

    • Rear: Impregnated carbon (for Hg/specialty chemicals)

  • Residence time≥1.5s

  1. Final Emission

  • Real-time PID monitoring

  • Outlet concentration≤0.4ppm
