Chemical-Resistant Carbon Filter

The BIO Series Acid-Resistant Adsorber Chemical-Resistant Carbon Filter is engineered for metal pickling operations, utilizing “chemically-modified activated carbon+alkaline scrubber” to remove 98% of HCl, HNO₃, HF fumes and heavy metal particles. Complies with OSHA 1910.1000 and EPA Subpart N standards.

Application

✔ Steel Pickling: HCl/H₂SO₄ mist removal ✔ Aluminum Anodizing: HNO₃/HF fume abatement ✔ Electroplating: Pre-treatment acid vapor recovery ✔ Stainless Steel Etching: Mixed acid (HNO₃+HF) control

Working Princple

  1. Fume Collection

  • PP/FRP ducting (≤176°F) with corrosion-resistant fan

  1. Alkaline Pre-scrubbing

  • 3-stage scrubber:

    • Stage 1: NaOH solution (5%) neutralization

    • Stage 2: Na₂CO₃ solution (3%) polishing

    • Stage 3: Water rinse

  1. Carbon Adsorption

  • Acid-resistant carbon:

    • CTC adsorption≥65%

    • pH stability (1-14)

  • Face velocity: 1.0-2.0ft/s

  1. Final Emission

  • pH monitoring (6-8)

  • Heavy metal removal≥99%
