The BIO Series Biofilter is designed for odor control in feed processing plants, utilizing biofiltration + trickling technology to remove H₂S, NH₃, and VOCs with ≥95% efficiency. Complies with EPA odor emission standards, suitable for feed mills, livestock farms, and biogas plants. Commonly used materials include SS and FRP.

Working Princple

Gas Collection & Pre-treatment
- Odorous gases enter through FRP ducting, passing through a scrubber to remove particulates and adjust humidity (≥95%).
Biofiltration
- Gases flow through multi-layer biofilter media (e.g., lava rock, activated carbon), where microorganisms degrade H₂S, NH₃ into H₂O, CO₂, and sulfates.
- Key reactions: H₂S + 2O₂ → SO₄²⁻ + 2H⁺ NH₃ + O₂ → NO₃⁻ + H⁺
Trickling System Enhancement
- A recirculating spray system distributes nutrient solution (pH 6-8) to maintain microbial activity.
Clean Gas Emission
- Treated gases pass through a demister and meet emission standards (odor concentration ≤1000).
