Food & Beverage Odor Control Biofilter

The BIOETP Series Biofilter specializes in treating malodorous gases from food processing, utilizing hybrid biofiltration + trickling technology to achieve ≥96% removal efficiency for H₂S, NH₃, and VOCs. Complies with EPA/CE standards for odor emissions.

Working Princple

  1. Pre-treatment
    • Stainless steel ducts transport gases to a mist eliminator (oil removal>85%)
  2. Biofiltration
    • 3-layer filter bed:
      • Upper: Composite media (lava rock+bamboo charcoal) for VOC adsorption
      • Middle: Specialized microbes (Thiobacillus/Nitrosomonas) for H₂S/NH₃ degradation
      • Lower: Slow-release nutrients for microbial sustainability
  3. Smart Trickling
    • Frequency-controlled spraying (2-5L/m³·h) with NPK-enriched solution
  4. Polishing
    • Optional activated carbon layer ensures odor concentration ≤800
